Abundant Tet Supplies Arrive in Da Nang, No Price Gouging Fears for Locals
Da Nang – With Tet (Lunar New Year) just around the corner, Da Nang is abuzz with festive shopping activity and bustling markets. The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade has confirmed that nearly 3 trillion VND worth of goods have been prepared for the holiday season.
At the Spring Fair 2025, which opened on the evening of January 9th, hundreds of stalls from dozens of provinces and cities across the country offer a wide array of products for Da Nang residents.
Supermarkets, central markets, and wholesale markets in Da Nang are also overflowing with goods, creating a vibrant display of red and gold decorations and festive items.
The most eye-catching and bustling sections feature specialties, confectionery, decorations, and fashion items.
To maintain market stability during Tet, Da Nang has organized dozens of "fair-price" points of sale, bringing essential goods to rural areas.
Specifically, from January 26th to 28th (on the lunar calendar), 14 fair-price stalls will be set up at various locations, including:
Tho Quang Ward People's Committee, 33 Nguyen Duy Hieu Street (Son Tra District)
Hoa Khanh Market (Lien Chieu District)
Dong Da Market, Nguyen Tri Phuong Market, 407 Trung Nu Vuong Street, 36 Luong Nhu Hoc Street (Hai Chau District)

Fair-price items will include pork, chicken, beef, and eggs.
To ensure peace of mind for shoppers, participating businesses have committed to the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade to sell at prices lower than the market average and maintain price stability. Daily prices will be publicly posted.
From January 14th to 19th (on the lunar calendar), four rounds of fair-price sales will be organized to serve the shopping needs of people in Hoa Vang District and industrial clusters.
In addition, major supermarkets such as MM Mega Market Da Nang, Go! Supermarket, Co.opmart, and Danavimart are implementing their own Tet promotion, discount, and price stabilization programs.
Da Nang Closely Monitors Tet Markets
The Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade has increased its presence at markets and distribution centers to monitor the situation and manage the Tet market effectively.
Authorities will strictly handle speculation, hoarding, unfair competition, and any actions that destabilize the market.
The sale of prohibited goods, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, fake goods, poor quality goods, and goods that do not meet food safety standards will also be dealt with decisively before and after Tet.
